New Pylon Sign Murrysville PA
I just started reading a Kindle book on Digital Marketing and I was reminded of the importance of writing articles that might be interesting to new and existing customers.
We just completed a turkey sign sign project for Dream Kitchens and Baths located at 4100 William Penn Highway, Murrysville, PA. For this project, Sign of Excellence designed, built and installed all of the components. We also handled the Murrysville sign permitting process for our customer.
This year, Signs of Excellence, Inc. began building its own sign cabinets at much lower cost than pre-fabricated cabinets. The savings is passed onto our customers. The Dream Kitichens and Baths’ sign cabinet consists of several aluminum extrusions which were assembled at our sign shop. The pylon sign is what we describe as a center pole sign, meaning that there is a steel pole running up the middle of the sign. The pole was partially fabricated by Jeannette Steel. Signs of Excellence completed the welding and installed the pole inside the cabinet.
After installing the center pole, we installed six LED lighting sticks with two 120 watt power supplies. We chose LED lighting instead of fluorescent tubes due to the huge energy savings and the longevity of the LEDs and power supplies. Its unlikely that this sign will need an LED or power supply replacement for many, many years. Placing LED lighting sticks on either side of the center pole can be tricky. If the lighting is not spaced correctly, the center pole can show up as a darken area when the sign is lighted at night. Happily, the Dream Kitchen and Bath sign lights up very evenly from left to right and top to bottom.
To handle the typical winds for Murrysville, we dug a two foot wide by five feet deep foundation to secure the sign pole. We hoisted the sign pole into the hole and secured it with 22 bags of high strength concrete that were mixed on site. After three days of concrete cure time, the sign cabinet was craned into place and bolted onto the pole.
