In January our business neighbor, Pro Trucks, experienced significant damage to a 16-foot wide lighted pylon sign. Apparently, an 18-wheeler took a short cut through their lot and caught the right side of the sign. The incident was at night and the trucker did not leave any contact information.
Pro Trucks contacted Signs of Excellence, Inc. and asked if we could replace or rebuild the damaged sign. We determined that we could do either, but that rebuilding the sign on location would be the fastest solution with the cost being about 1/2 the price of all new.
The weather did not cooperate. We started in the rain and continued to work through rain, sleet and snow. We removed the fluorescent tubes, cut off the bent portions of the cabinet structure and installed new LED lighting. Upon completion, the sign looks great and no one would know that half of the sign is new and half of the sign is over 10 years old.
This video captures the highlights of the repair effort.
